Terms of Service
Last updated 18 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Modern Technologies, Inc. and apply to everyone who uses Graft Cloud and this website.
1. Who we are
Graft is made by Modern Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation. When these terms say “we”, “us” or “Graft”, that is who they mean. When they say “you”, they mean the person or business using the service.
These terms cover Graft Cloud, the hosted service, and this website. The open-source core of Graft is licensed separately under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3, and your use of that software is governed by its licence, not by these terms.
By creating an account or using Graft Cloud you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to do that. If you do not agree, please do not use the service; if anything here is unclear, email legal@getgraft.ai first.
2. Your account
You need to be 18 or over to use Graft Cloud. Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
Each agent you connect to Graft holds its own token. Keep your tokens and your login details to yourself, and let us know quickly if you think someone else has got hold of one; revoking an agent in the console ends that token at once.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your agents do with the tools and connections you give them. We may refuse or close an account that was set up with false information.
3. The alpha
Graft Cloud is in private alpha. It is free to use during this period, we make no commitment about how long the period lasts, and we may change limits such as how many tools an agent may hold or how many builds an account may run.
When we introduce paid plans we will tell you before anything costs money. Plans will renew until you cancel, prices will be shown in US dollars with taxes added where they apply, and we will give you reasonable notice of any price change so you can cancel if you do not want to pay it.
4. What your agents can do
You decide which services each agent may reach and what it may do there. A tool that only reads runs without asking you. A tool that would change or delete data asks you before its first use, and your answer holds for that agent until you change it; you can set any tool to ask every time instead. Nothing is written to a service you have connected until you have said yes.
Credentials are entered in Graft’s console, never through your agent or a chat. Your agent receives links to the console for the steps only you can do, and those steps are yours.
Every call a tool makes to a service is recorded, without its contents, and you can see the record in the console.
5. You stay responsible
Graft writes tools with AI and tests them against the real service before your agent uses them, with anything that would change data stopped at our proxy during the test. That catches a great deal; it does not catch everything. Read what a tool does before you approve it, and check what your agent produces before it matters.
The work your agents do with Graft is still yours. We cannot promise a tool will always be right, and we are not responsible for decisions you or your agents make on the strength of its output.
6. Your content and data
The credentials you enter, the data your agents reach through Graft and the tools Graft writes for you are yours. You are responsible for having the right to connect the services you connect, and you give us permission to store and run the tools and to process the data, but only to provide the service you have asked for.
We keep a record of how each tool was built, including builds that failed, and use those records to make Graft better at building tools. We do not use your data to train AI models, we do not sell it, and we share it only with the providers we need to run the service, as our privacy policy describes.
Our privacy policy sets out what we collect, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
7. Connected services
Graft works by connecting to services you already use. Those services have their own terms, and you are responsible for using them in line with those terms through Graft. We are not responsible for how a third-party service behaves, or for the content of anything we link to.
If a service changes its interface, a tool that depends on it may stop working. Graft records the failure so it can be fixed, and a tool that is fixed asks for your approval again before it changes any data.
8. Fair use
Use Graft for your own work or your own business. Do not use it to send spam, to break the law, to reach systems or data you do not have the right to, or to do anything you would not be comfortable explaining to the people it affects.
Do not try to get a tool to leave the sandbox it runs in, to reach anything other than the service it was written for, to extract credentials, or to probe or overload our systems. Do not resell access to Graft Cloud or work around its limits.
9. Intellectual property
Graft Cloud, this website, our brand and the parts of Graft that are not open source belong to Modern Technologies, Inc. These terms give you the right to use the service, not to copy it or build a competing service from it. The open-source core is yours to use under its own licence.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them freely to improve Graft without owing you anything. Please only send us feedback you are happy for us to use.
If you believe something on Graft infringes your copyright, email legal@getgraft.ai with the details and we will look into it.
10. Changes to the service
Graft is young and will change. We may add features, change how something works or retire something that is not being used. If a change materially reduces what you are paying for, once anything is paid for, we will give you notice and you can cancel without penalty.
We may also update these terms. If we make a meaningful change we will email you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Graft Cloud after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using Graft Cloud whenever you like, and ask us to close your account and delete its data by emailing legal@getgraft.ai. Disconnecting a service deletes its credential at once.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that is being used to harm someone. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
The sections on liability, intellectual property and governing law survive after your account closes.
12. Liability
Graft Cloud is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the service, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that any tool it writes will work.
To the extent the law permits, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amounts you have paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you have not paid us anything. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses.
If you are in Australia, nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability under that law, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we are not giving up the right to enforce it later.
If something goes wrong, talk to us first. Most things are quicker to sort out with a conversation.
